Io e il mio ragazzo per un week end romantico tra umbria e toscana abbiamo deciso di alloggiare al b&b "villa trasimeno". Gia dalla prenotazione, fatta telefonicamente, si avvertiva la cortesia e la cordialita' di quello che poi si sarebbe rivelato il proprietario. L'ambiente é meraviglioso, curato nei dettagli (cucina ***** stelle) e gli ospiti vengono viziati...... Abbiamo raddoppiato la nostra permanenza e non vediamo l'ora di poter tornare. Spent seven nights at Villa Trasimeno and enjoyed every minute of it. Great lake view from the terrace and yard. Conveniently located to all of Umbria and Tuscany. Lots of towns to visit, I saw most from a bicycle. Clean and comfortable rooms with a good breakfast.
You MUST have Carmelo prepare your dinners. Each one was a true gastronomic experience; some of the best meals I had during my one month trip. There is nothing like having your own, private chef every night of your stay. A lot of the ingredients came fresh from their property.
The only down side was the lack of accepting credit cards. I didn't know that before my stay and it did cause a bit of an inconvenience.

Eravamo in ottobre. Il tempo era perfetto e la toscana e campagna umbra era incredibile!! Tuttavia, avremmo trascorso tutta la settimana al Villa e mai lasciato Pasagnano. Il cibo era incomparabile, l'ospitalità incredibile e l'attenzione al dettaglio perfezione pura. Non vedo l'ora di tornare!

We had the vacation of a lifetime here! Carmen and Luana are the most gracious hosts. Beautiful setting, fantastic food, and the best of Italy within an easy day trip. We highly recommend it.

Carmen and Luana were the perfect host and hostess on our trip to Italy last June. Their villa sits atop a hill overlooking the breathtaking Lake Trasimeno. The setting was just paradise! Add to that the fabulous 7 course meals we experienced almost every night that were absolutely the best ever. Each meal was eloquently prepared by Carmen and Luana. The attention to detail went above and beyond any we have ever experienced. We ate our meals on the open but covered patio attached to the villa. So as we ate we enjoyed the beauty of our surroundings. The table setting was beautiful and the presentation of food and wine added to our dining pleasure. The food was always freshly prepared and surpassed any restaurant food we have ever had in Italy or the United States! Carmen and Luana were always very accomodating to our needs and went out of their way to please us. Carmen was an awesome tour guide. He explained the history of each site we visited and answered all of our questions. Nothing has compared to the special attention and personal touch we all received from Carmen and Luana while staying at the Villa Trasimeno. We have been on cruises, stayed at ski resorts out west, travelled to Hawaii in the past, but our trip to Italy was by far the most memorable and enjoyable that we have ever experienced!!!

Stayed at Villa Trasimeno for over 2 weeks and couldn't of had a better experience. There are several advantages to staying at Carmen & Luana's villa , the main one is that they are great people to be around. Their hospitality and kindness make them one of a kind, not to mention their patience ( we came with 21 family members that each had their own agenda ). Both Carmen & Luana are fantastic cooks which made eating at the Villa as memorable as eating out. The Villa is located in the hills of Passignano, next to Lake Tresimeno which is midway between Florence & Rome. This is an ideal spot to visit Tuscany, Umbria, Florence & Rome.
Having Carmen around on are day trips to translate Italian and describe the finer points of Italy was a huge plus. From the time we landed to the time we boarded are plane to come home Carmen & Luana were there to help us and make sure we had everything that we needed.
I highly recommend Villa Tresimeno and am already planning my next trip.

Beautifully located on the hills overlooking Lake Tresimeno, Villa Tresimeno is a lovely, well appointed villa with room for 10 persons. There is a small kitchenette and laundry facility for guests. The fridge is well stocked and lovely local wine are all available on the honor system. More impressive, proprietor Carmen Oppesdisano and his family are absolutely wonderful hosts. Carmen is a world-class chef and is only too happy to prepare local and regional favorites. Our favorites were homemade pizzas in the stone pizza oven in his backyard, half a dozen different primis of homemade pasta, and a surprise favorite was delicious eggplant. Carmen is familiar with many of the local wineries and arrangements can be made for him to lead mini-van tours all over the region. We enjoyed his tour leading through Umbria, Tuscany, and even a terrific day in Rome. Carmen is extremely well versed in the history, culinary, and wine-related insights and has the patience of a saint.
We were four couples visiting Villa Tresimeno and thanks to Carmen it was a trip well worth repeating.
